City centers, moreover humanity itself, seems to hear the voice calling them towards local production, now more than ever, to endure sustainably. Alveole believe that at the heart of this movement is the honey bee. Keeping bees not only protects an endangered species, but calls into question the fundamental notions of production, transport and quality of food, by reconsidering their link. It is a broadening of our perspective on the environment and a humbling awakening to the sublimity of nature. Alvéole see beekeeping as a necessarily important practice and are determined to transform Montreal’s urban space.
Aveole is the project of three young entrepreneurs: Alexandre McClean, Étienne Lapierre et Declan Rankin Jardin.
