Amélie DIonoski is an artist born in St-Gervais-de-Bellechasse and textile is her passion. From as far as she remembers, old fabrics, vintage clothing, spinning wheel, ragged clothing ball to make weaving and her grand-mother Blandine's crochet hook lace brought her up to her never ending growing passion.
In an autodidact and half-hazardous manner, she used her mother's sewing machine at the age kids learn to tie theirs shoes. After having completed two CEGEP techniques, one in Design and Textile (2003-2007) where she got the honours of the Robert Lamarre prize, the other in Textile Building (2009-2012). She masters the knitting machine numeric embroidery weaving, silk screening, tinting and felting, etc.
Amélie Dionoski is passionated of textile design and developped an out of the ordinary know-how in a niche located at the crossing of textile creation, arts and fashion desing. Dionoski is always in search of new artistic knowledge. Intuitive and spontaneous, she creates in joy and she lives in the present moment with the hope of making a living with her art.
DIONOSKI differentiates herself with her knitted clothing, decorative items and embroidery (wall mounted, embroidered tote bag, cushions, etc) and with her service of on demand and customized textile design: computerized knitting and numeric embroidery. Original and conceptual high end products, for those who appreciate unicity and for Quebec designers in needs of a making service.
Always in search of new trends, and with the most dern equipment, this artisan designer is now learning about leather sewing to enhance her skills and capabilities.
Each DIONOSKI creation is uniquely made, in her workshop in Montreal and sold to her local and international clientele athrough her online shop..
