The felting technique:
Every steps of the process is done by Elisabeth Fortin, owner and felting artist at AlpagAdore. After sheering the alpacas in the spring, the alpaca fibre is sorted, washed, picked and carded. Each unique piece is created using wet felting and needle felting techniques and steam press, resulting in a high quality finished product.

How to wash it:

Handwash in warm water using a delicate soap or shampoo, rince at the same temperature, wring in a towel, reform and flat-dry, steam iron if desired.

About the alpaca fiber:
Alpaca fleece is the natural fiber harvested from an alpaca. It is a soft, durable, luxurious and silky natural fiber. While similar to sheep’s wool, it is warmer, not prickly, and has no lanolin, which makes it hypoallergenic. Alpaca is naturally water-repellent and difficult to ignite.
